Comprehension passage and the Sales officer

Do you remember attending a Reading skill test where the question is to find answers for questions based on a paragrah/passage given before.
One of the best solutions for the same is to read the questions before hand and then go ahead to read the passage. This way you will be searching for the answer while you are reading the passage.
Benefits:
1. You will improve the concentration while reading the passage
2.You will save time for a much complex question later. :)
I was recently reading an article on active listening for the sales person,where the author encourages  to actively listen to the customer. In this way the sales person can take in each concern or suggestion from the customer as an opportunity for their business as well as to maintain a good relationship with the them.To help this the author even suggests to  have a set a questions  already in hand about the customers .
“What is the one thing that is this customer’s most pressing challenge today?” and “On what basis will this customer make the decision to buy or not?”This way the sales person listens constructively to the customer there by building better business and relationship.
So basically the logics are the same and we need to know what we need or what our interactions has to turn out to be inorder to effectively and positively utilize each of our daily activities.

Forgeting our Self Reliance threshold

I used to wonder when colleagues come to me for help on microsoft word and excel.The question includes how to circle a letter in word.How to descipher a function written by someone else in Excel...
It was not that they are less talented,but they forget that they can be self reliant at least by depending on google or other search engines.
Why would they not search  online.I dont know now.
We could say that that would help develop a relationship between 2 unknown people.Which is better.

Concept Gallery components discussion- I

This is a continuation of the post: A Concept Art Gallery.

I was thinking of a set up for the Concept Gallery , how to make the unique experience for the viewer.
Either the Viewer can stand in front of the image and we make stand alone fragrance generators and music boxes for them to enjoy... But something more needs to be done ,or I am adding more complexity to it by making the above arrangement in picture.A moving platform in front of the gallery images , similar to an indian railway single sideseat arrangement which moves on a track.
The fragrance and the sound will be implemented on the framework, without much notice.....

Acupressure and Acupuncture for pain relief

A recent study on the how the acupuncture works on the human body says that...

Once the theraphy is done on a specific point the concentration of the neurotransmitter adenosine rises to 24 times the more than the normal level and it gets distributed to the entire body.Its molecules  dock at adenosine receptors situated on the pain transmitting nerve fibres and activate then thus lessening the pain..
This finding has come based on a study and research done at the university of Rochester USA.

So these methods  help us cope with the pain to a god extend and throws light to the fact that proper treatement has to be medicated to improve the situation which has given rise to the pain.

A Concept Art Gallery.

I was thinking of a separate idea to display the works of photographers or fine artist. It was kind of adding another dimension to how we can see and feel the picture or art work in front of us. A fourth Dimension Gallery- FDGALLERY.


An image/Art work can Convey feelings .It could be the beauty of a place like the misty munnar or the greens lush paddy field in kuttanad .


How would you approach this kind of framed images in a normally art gallery. Simple, right on the wall illuminated by an incandascent or plane light. And you stand in front of it mersmerised by the beauty of the image and the skills of the artist /photographer .


Let me add few more items to make your visit interesting.I am goingto add few more things.
1. An aroma in line withe the subject used in the images.
    Yes, You are in front of a picture of a paddy field. You get the smell of the green paddy vibrating around the image.The smell of the mud. Tell me, wont this surely impact the way you percieve the image. Yes it will.
2. A small music/background sound
It will fill the void made by the silence between the frame and your mind.


This is what the items which were in my mind.


Now How do we solve / overcome or live with few challenges.
1.How come we give separate aroma to separate images  and separate theme music
  Ans:  That is a challenge when each work is a sepatare theme.But if thats a theme based show we can emit aromas of different ingredients at different times of the show and have the music cycled .


2. Why do we need this extra dimension show.
Ans: If Art is to influence, learn and enjoy then surely the creative blending of smell and music will stand apart in making the Visit to the gallery a new experience.

Sitting lower

From the simple and single individual house we have moved to flats at heavnly heights. We have changed a lot ,the way we live the way we do things.
Here in this simply complicated living world, I am missing one of my favourite relaxing place at my home. The rest room. I really miss the soothness I felt while I sat on my hearty Indian closet (IC).
Its European (EC) everywhere. Apartment,Office,schools.....

I dont know , sometimes I feel really unconfortable while using the ECs. I dont get that extra 'kik' here sitting on the EC which I used to get on the IC.
For making things similar I try using the EC the way I use the IC.Hope you got now How I am sitting on the EC...This was a long time hidden truth , and lately disclosed to my wife when she too confessed the same kind of Usage.

I did ask few of my friends and they too did the same... There is a problem some where , taking into consideration the pain sitting on the narrow edges of the ECs.I sometimes think, will this stuff crumble down, unable to handle my weight.

Even while surfing over the net I came across articles which cautions the use of ECs due to health problems
